An orange summer, by and for Rodolfo Meneses, the mime Tuga, is transformed depending on the tide and the desire. It is a playground for its performer, who often puts himself in a difficult situation, just to see, to try it out. The result: a refreshing and spontaneous show. A master of improvisation, Tuga plays with the truth of the moment and lets himself be guided by the ‘spect-actors’. A sober set design, a few props and above all a body that speaks and a lot of imagination. Their gestures are voluminous, quick and fill the space. There is silence, but nothing empty. Tuga’s humour is white, cheerful and impertinent. There will be something for everyone! The theme is simple and universal. A sunny afternoon on the beach, the place where personalities reveal themselves: The posers take a sunbath, the big kids a sand bath and the more motivated ones a sea bath. A real gold mine for the artist who is inspired by this collective imaginary. The spectator is invited to participate, to propose. Action, reaction… each performance is tinged with the colours of those who dare to put their brushstroke with the desire of the moment, and also with the crazy ideas, the imbecilities we should say to be honest, of its protagonist.
