International

Since 2021, Paisaje Público has started to participate in different market instances specifically designed for organisations dedicated to street arts and creation in public space. This has allowed it to become the first Latin American organisation within the European Circostrada network.

CIRCOSTRADA NETWORK

Circostrada is the European network of contemporary circus and arts in public space. It was created in 2003 with the aim of developing and strengthening these sectors and achieving their recognition on a European and global scale. A key partner and point of contact for its members, Circostrada is also an organisation interested in relations with the culture departments of various international institutions.

Circostrada’s Global Crossing in Chile 2023

Exploratory trip undertaken by network members to learn about the current state of street arts in different regions of the world. The event was attended by 10 programmers from Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium and South Korea, and they participated in the Cielos del Infinito and Santiago a Mil Festivals. Among the activities were meetings with circus, theatre, dance and interdisciplinary artists, as well as visits to creative spaces in Santiago and Valparaiso. This allowed to disseminate the work of artists from various performing arts disciplines with programmers of the most important European festivals. From this project, connections with national and international programmers emerged, which allowed the agreement for the Foco Chile 2025 in Italy and the invitation to South Korea.

OCUS CHILE 2025 in collaboration with Mirabilia Festival (coming soon)

This year, the Chilean Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage accepted Mirabilia Festival’s invitation to participate in an exploratory journey towards 2025. We are working in collaboration with Mirabilia, as well as several Chilean and Italian institutions, to realise a FOCUS CHILE in the next edition of this prestigious festival. Our main goal is to strengthen relations that will improve the conditions of circulation between Chilean and Italian artists between the two landscapes/countries.
